General
How FixHaven works.
What does a property maintenance company actually do?
We handle the repairs and upkeep a property needs between big projects: handyman repairs, drywall and paint touch-ups, fixture swaps, door and lock work, exterior repairs, rental turnovers, inspections, and recurring maintenance visits. One company instead of five.
How do you price jobs?
Two ways. Most repair visits are billed in hourly blocks with a short minimum, plus parts at cost. Defined jobs like a turnover, a deck re-stain, or a full-room repaint get a flat written quote before we start. Plan members get a lower hourly rate.
Are you insured?
Yes. FixHaven carries general liability insurance, and every technician is background-checked. Need a certificate of insurance for your HOA or property management file? Ask and we will send it before the first visit.
How quickly can you come out?
Most jobs are scheduled within the same week. Urgent issues like an active leak, a door that will not lock, or a vacant unit with a move-in date get priority, and plan members move to the front of the line.
Do you work with property managers and landlords?
Yes. We accept work orders by email or from your maintenance platform, invoice per unit or per property, and deliver photo-documented completion reports you can attach to deposit accounting.
What areas do you serve?
San Diego County, from the South Bay through central San Diego, East County, and North County inland and coastal. See the service areas page for the full list.
What is a maintenance plan?
A scheduled quarterly or monthly visit where a tech runs a seasonal checklist, fixes small items on the spot, and reports anything larger. It includes priority scheduling and a member rate on all other work. No long-term contract.
Do I need to be home?
Not necessarily. Many of our landlord and plan clients give us lockbox or smart-lock access. For first visits with homeowners we prefer someone on site to walk the list.
